Despite improved functional outcomes due to advances in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical and imaging techniques, the survival rate in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) has only marginally improved over the past two decades [1]. The incidence of second neoplastic manifestations after treatment for OSCC ranges from 10% to 34% and contributes to the majority of cancer-related deaths [2].
