Head and neck lymphomas: A 20-year review in an Oral Pathology Unit, Johannesburg, South Africa, a country with the highest global incidence of HIV/AIDS

Oral lymphomas were thought to be uncommon but to frequently affect cervical lymph nodes [1]. With the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) pandemic, lymphomas account for 2% of oral neoplasms [1]. Following the gastrointestinal tract, head and neck is the second most frequent site for extranodal lymphomas [2–4].
