KIF3A genetic variation is associated with pediatric asthma in the presence of eczema independent of allergic rhinitis

KIF3A SNPs identify a subset of asthmatic children with prior or current eczema independent of AR, and may be useful biomarkers of an eczema phenotype that progresses to asthma, independent of allergic sensitization.
