Adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) represent a growing segment of the population, partly due to better medical care.1, 2 These individuals face similar diseases as adults with normal cognitive functioning in addition to pathology related to their disability, which may make their management more challenging. In addition, treatments that need behavioral changes, such as incorporating continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy in their daily routine, require the help of caregivers and committed healthcare providers.
