In Reply We are grateful that Dr Mangalik has taken an interest in our article, which was a response to a chapter in Dr Vincent DeVita's book The Death of Cancer, in which Dr DeVita guides the management of a friend with prostate cancer. In our article, we highlighted deviations from the best clinical evidence, as well as missed opportunities in the management provided.
