Statistical verification on the effect of hearing loss on speech-evoked auditory brainstem response

I read the article written by Koravand et al. [1] entitled "Speech-evoked auditory brainstem responses in children with hearing loss" with great interest. The literature on speech-evoked auditory brainstem response (speech-ABR) in hearing-impaired children is indeed lacking and research in this area is much relevant. The authors recorded ABR (evoked by clicks) and speech-ABR (evoked by a 40-ms syllable/da/) from 13 normal children and 12 age-matched children with hearing loss. Peak latencies, peak amplitudes, envelope following response (EFR) and frequency following response (FFR) of speech-ABR were analyzed accordingly.
