Abstract

Acupuncture is among the most popular of all complementary or alternative therapies. In recent years, adverse effects of acupuncture have been discussed more intensively than ever before. Serious adverse events resulting from acupuncture have been identified in previous literature reviews.¹ Localized argyria is an uncommon condition, which is a side effect of acupuncture.²
