Aortic Elastic Properties and Myocardial Performance Index are Impaired in Patients with Lichen Planus

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the elastic properties of the aorta and myocardial performance index of left ventricule in patients with Lichen Planus (LP). Subjects and Methods: A total of 54 patients with lichen planus and 50 controls were enrolled to the study. Patients in the two groups were well matched regarding age, gender, body mass index, any smoking history, diabetes mellitus, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure. The echocardiographic examination was performed in study subjects and the controls. Aortic elasticity parameters and myocardial performance index of left ventricule were calculated.
