Signia (http://ift.tt/29sqzaU) is taking a step towards smarter hearing health care with a recent announcement of its new product Signia Pure 13 BT. The new made for iPhone hearing aid delivers customized, high-quality sounds and allows audiologists to adjust hearing aid settings remotely. The IP67-rated Pure 13 BT is resistant to water, dust, and dirt. It combines binaural audio exchange and direct streaming using Signia's e2e wireless 3.0 and Bluetooth. It also uses iPhone's motion sensors to evaluate and adapt to different acoustic environments when the user is moving. Pure 13 BT automatically enables the most suitable setting based on the information it receives.
Users can remotely control the hearing aids through the myControl app, adjusting programs, volume, microphone directionality, and treble/bass during audio streaming. The device also functions like a fitness tracker for hearing, collecting daily hearing data and allowing users to monitor their noise exposure. Pure 13 BT also makes it easier for hearing care providers and hearing aid users to connect through Signia's new promax star platform and Signia TeleCare 2.0, which allows care providers to access real-time patient data remotely. Hearing care providers can then optimize users' hearing aid settings from afar and make other adjustments that would normally require an in-office visit.
The Signia Pure 13 BT will be available in May.
