Dr. Brown is a professor in the department of Comprehensive Dentistry, Division of Oral Diagnosis, at Howard University College of Dentistry and also the Director of Continuing Dental Education. He is currently a clinical associate professor within the department of otolaryngology at Georgetown University Medical Center, and a volunteer research associate at NHLBI/NIH Hematology Branch. For the last several years, he has been listed as one of the top 100 CDE providers by Dentistry Today. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine (ABOM), presently secretary of the ABOM, and a past-president of the American Academy of Oral Medicine.
