Notch dysregulation and HS: let's talk about Numb

Abstract

We read with great interest the article by J. W. Frew regarding Notch Dysregulation as an Epiphenomenon in Inflammatory Skin Diseases.¹ The paper pointed out some controversies among Notch activity and keratinocyte proliferation as well as maturation in Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis and Lichen Planus. Because of a recognized involvement of Notch in HS, but at the same time still not clear, we also explored other components of the same signalling.
