Diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer, Andrew McDonald (former Chief Executive of Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority) delivers a powerful and thought-provoking lecture highlighting issues around communication that still bedevil medical care. Drawing on his personal experiences, Andrew proposes solutions on how to improve patient care, supporting his arguments with data by Marie Curie, a British charity providing care and support through terminal illness. The lecture comprised of five scenes that re-enact the doctor–patient exchange during the course of Andrew's treatment, was accompanied by well-articulated post-analysis sessions.
