A Novel Radiologic Check Test of Round Window Accessibility for Cochlear Implantation: Our Experience in 198 cases

Clear visualization of the round window niche (RWN) and round window membrane (RWM) through the facial recess using standard posterior tympanotomy approach is a prime requisite for the surgeon. Moreover, even with the traditional cochleostomy approach, proper identification of RWN is essential for accurate localization of promontory cochleostomy site. (1)
