Eosinophilic esophagitis is an allergic/immune-mediated disease where a Th2 response is triggered by food or environmental allergens.¹² The incidence and prevalence of EoE have been increasing over the past two decades.³ Because endoscopy and biopsy are required for diagnosis and monitoring, health care costs related to EoE are significant.
