Abstract

Referred or secondary otalgia is the complaint of ear pain arising from pathology of non-otologic locations with which the ear shares common neural pathways. The pain can present in various degrees of intensity and characteristics while severity is not proportional to the seriousness of the underlying cause^1,2.
