Abstract
Lichen planus pigmentosus‐inversus (LPPI) is a rare variant of lichen planus pigmentosus and arises in the intertriginous areas. Although some studies have pointed that there is epidermal pigmentation in LPPI1, no cases demonstrating the presence of epidermal melanin have been reported. Here we report a case of LPPI in which melanin granules are present throughout the epidermis.
