Although it is common knowledge that physicians have an ethical duty to disclose medical errors to their patients, they struggle to fulfill this responsibility.1 The situation becomes more complex when the physician informing the patient of the medical error is not the one who committed said error. As health care delivery evolves toward a collaborative model, there is increased potential for error involving multiple physicians. However, literature on disclosing medical error in a multiclinician setting is scarce.
